Ações antrópicas, acúmulo de lixo e outros impactos em duas praias do litoral sul - SP

Abstract

A biodiversidade marinha brasileira é fortemente afetada pela perturbação ambiental de origem antrópica, em especial a poluição aquática, devido à vasta extensão litorânea possuir grandes baías, ilhas e portos. Este trabalho teve como objetivo, utilizar o protocolo da ONG “The Ocean Conservancy” e caracterizar todo o lixo residual encontrado em duas praias localizadas no Parque Estadual Itinguçu, município de Peruíbe, estado de São Paulo. O método de coleta, em ambas as praias, foi de transecto de 100m. Os resíduos encontrados somaram 845 (oitocentos e quarenta e cinco) itens, havendo destaque para as atividades à beira mar e recreativas que totalizaram 57,94% do lixo coletado em uma das praias. Para minimizar as consequências diretas sobre a biodiversidade, são necessárias ações de conscientização ambiental das comunidades que habitam o entorno das áreas de conservação, e dos visitantes, pautadas na perspectiva de uma Educação Ambiental crítica e participativa.

Anthropic actions, garbage accumulation and other impacts on two beaches of São Paulo State

Abstract

Brazilian marine biodiversity is strongly affected by the environmental disturbance of anthropic origin, especially aquatic pollution, due to the vast coastal extension having large basins, islands and ports. This work aimed to use the protocol of the NGO "The Ocean Conservancy" and characterize all the residual trash found in two beaches located in the Itinguçu State Park, in the municipality of Peruíbe, State of São Paulo. The collection method, on both beaches, was a transect of 100m. The residues found totaled 845 (eight hundred and forty-five) items, with emphasis on seafront and recreational activities that totaled 57.94% of garbage collected on one of the beaches. To minimize the direct consequences on biodiversity, it is necessary to raise environmental awareness of the communities that inhabit the surroundings of conservation areas, and the visitors, based on the perspective of a critical and participatory Environmental Education.
