Variação crepuscular de artrópodes na bromélia Quesnelia arvensis (Vell.) no Parque Estadual do Itinguçú

Abstract

As bromélias são plantas com hábitos que variam de terrestres até epífitas, com ocorrências em quase todos os ecossistemas. A importância ecológica desses indivíduos está relacionada à formação de microhabitats que servem de abrigo para diversos organismos. No entanto, pouco se sabe sobre a variação crepuscular na composição de organismos que habitam as mesmas. Assim, o trabalho objetivou avaliar a variação crepuscular de abundância, riqueza e diversidade de artrópodes em Quesnelia arvensis em uma área de restinga pertencente ao Mosaico de Unidades de Conservação Juréia Itatins. Foi estabelecido um quadrante de 3,7m, onde as plantas foram investigadas durante o amanhecer e ao anoitecer, sendo anotado os artrópodes encontrados. Nossos resultados mostram que há pouca variação crepuscular na composição de artrópodes presente nas Q. arvensis, e estatisticamente a diversidade não apresentou diferença significativa entre os períodos. Há poucos trabalhos envolvendo uma variação de organismos em diferentes períodos do dia, o que reforça a importância dessa avaliação para projetos futuros.

Twilight variation of arthropods in bromeliad Quesnelia arvensis (Vell.) In Itinguçú State Park

Abstract: Bromeliads are plants with habits from terrestrial to epiphytic and occur in almost all ecosystems. The ecological importance of these individuals is related to the formation of microhabitats which serve as shelter for several organisms. However, little is known about the twilight variation in the composition of organisms that inhabit them. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate the twilight variation of abundance, richness and diversity of arthropods in Quesnelia arvensis in a restinga area belonging to the Jureia Itatins Conservation Units Mosaic. A quadrant of 3.7m was established, where plants were investigated during dawn and dusk, and the arthropods found were noted. Our results show that there is little twilight variation in the arthropod composition present in Q. arvensis, and statistically the diversity did not present significant difference between the periods. There are few studies involving a variation of organisms at different times of the day, which reinforces the importance of this assessment for future projects.
