Estrutura populacional de Rhamdioglanis frenatus (Siluriformes: Heptapteridae) na Bacia do rio Itatinga, SP

Abstract

Resumo: Os peixes do Gênero Rhamdioglanis são encontrados em riachos de fundos rochosos até regiões com correnteza moderada e com preferências de hábitos noturnos. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a estrutura populacional de R. frenatus. Os peixes foram coletados em riachos da Bacia do rio Itatinga com uso de pesca elétrica e, no laboratório, os indivíduos foram mensurados, pesados e dissecados. A proporção sexual foi calculada pelo teste do X², a relação peso-comprimento foi obtida através de uma regressão e a hipótese que as fêmeas são menores que os machos foi testada pelo teste t. Foram coletados 91 indivíduos com proporção sexual igual entre os sexos, fêmeas foram, em média, menores que os machos e observou-se a condição de alometria negativa na espécie.

Population structure of Rhamdioglanis frenatus (Siluriformes: Heptapteridae) in the Itatinga River Basin, SP

Abstract: Fish of the Genus Rhamdioglanis are found in streams from rocky bottoms to regions with moderate currents and with preferences for nocturnal habits. The aim of this study was to analyze the population structure of R. frenatus. The fish were collected in streams of the Itatinga River Basin using electric fishing and, in the laboratory, the individuals were measured, weighed, and dissected. The sex ratio was calculated by the X² test, the weight-length relationship was obtained through a regression and the hypothesis that females are smaller than males was tested by the t test. A total of 91 individuals with equal sex ratio between the sexes were collected, females were, on average, smaller than males and the condition of negative allometry was observed in the species.
