Macroinvertebrados bentônicos em dois riachos preservados de Mata Atlântica, Bertioga, SP

Abstract

Resumo:

Macroinvertebrados bentônicos estão relacionados principalmente às características físicas e químicas do habitat, o hábito de cada espécie e à velocidade do fluxo do rio, que pode variar nas diferentes estações do ano. Este estudo visa analisar esta comunidade em dois riachos no sopé da Serra do Mar. As amostragens foram feitas na cidade de Bertioga e ocorreram nos períodos seco e chuvoso (2016/17). O riacho 2 obteve o maior índice de diversidade durante o período seco. Chironomidae foi a família mais representativa, com 727 indivíduos (68,52%). Os resultados indicaram interferência sazonal nas comunidades de macroinvertebrados bentônicos, podendo influenciar na cadeia alimentar local.

Abstract:

Benthic macroinvertebrates are mainly related to the physico and chemical characteristics of the habitat, the habit of each species and the speed of the river flow, which can vary in different seasons. This study aims to analyze this community in two streams at the foot of Serra do Mar. Sampling was carried out in the city of Bertioga and occurred in the dry and rainy seasons (2016/17). Stream 2 had the highest diversity index during the dry period. Chironomidae was the most representative family, with 727 individuals (68.52%). The results indicated seasonal interference in the studied benthic macroinvertebrate communities, which may influence the local food chain.
